We at
Acapella Gourmet Foods are committed to making the
best quality products and to improving the communities
where we live and work. As part of this commitment
we have launched “Coffee Lovers Care”,
a charitable program whose mission it is to raise
awareness of and to support organizations that improve
our communities.
Along with our retail partners
in the Greater Philadelphia region, we are encouraging
all our neighbors to “Taste a Heart and Help
a Family.” For a limited time our retail partners
will offer for sale a special limited edition Caffe
Acapella Tasting Heart for $1. Inside each imported
Italian paper heart is one silky smooth Caffe Acapella
Cappuccino heart. We are donating these hearts and
our retail partners are generously donating their
time and space so that 100% of the purchase price
from each heart will go directly to Project Rainbow
to help Philadelphia’s homeless mothers and
children.
Drueding Center/Project Rainbow
is a transitional housing program for homeless women
and their children, located in Philadelphia. The
organization helps the families it serves gain the
skills and resources necessary to live independently
and reach their individual measure of success. Part
of Holy Redeemer Health System, Drueding Center/Project
Rainbow offers intensive case management; life skills
training; behavioral health counseling; childcare
with Head Start and after-school services; education
and employment services; and after care services
for up to 7 years after a family moves into permanent
housing. To date, more than 550 women with 1,050
children have benefited from their services. To
